Catalog Search Tips
- Keyword Search: Type
a word or words in the text box, click the "Go" button and search for library materials
across all fields (author, title, subject, etc...). If your keyword search
brings up too many items, try limiting your search in the "Search by"
box.
- Browse Search: Type
in your search term and select a library catalog index to browse. This
search can be helpful if you're unsure how to spell a word.
- Phrase/Exact Search:
These searches look for matches to the words you type in the search box
in the exact order you type them. Such searches can be helpful if you
know a phrase or exact wording is part of specific book title.
- Advanced Search:
Advanced search options include date limits and format types such as
DVDs, sound recordings, or video- recordings.
- Item Availability:
Click on "Availability" to view which CMPL location owns an item.
This area also displays whether an item is currently checked in or out.
