Blue Square Graphic Library History
The Clinton-Macomb Public Library (CMPL) is a district library serving a rapidly growing population over 150,000.

Formed in 1992, CMPL directly serves all of the residents of Macomb Township and most of Clinton Township, with the exception of the portion in the Mount Clemens School District, which is served by the Mount Clemens Public Library.

CMPL is a member of the Suburban Library Cooperative, encompassing 20 libraries in the cities and townships north of Metro Detroit.

Blue Square Graphic Library Governance
CMPL is governed by a district library board of eight trustees appointed by the board of trustees for Clinton and Macomb Townships.  The primary source of funding for the library is a one-mill property tax in perpetuity.  The Library Director oversees the administration of the library, and provides a leadership role within the community and library profession.
