Detroit Economic Club Scholarships:
The Detroit Economic Club Scholarship Program is a scholarship program of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, 333 W. Fort Street, Suite 2010, Detroit, Michigan 48226. The purpose of the Detroit Economic Club Scholarship Program is to assist students from Detroit and Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties in pursuing a program of undergraduate education. Up to two renewable scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to students entering college as a freshman in the fall of 2013. Scholarship recipients may reapply in each of three additional years, if appropriate. Award determinations will be made with the assistance of the Detroit Economic Club Scholarship Program Advisory Committee. Deadline: April 1, 2013
Jeptha Wade Schureman Scholarship Program:
Applicants must be residents of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Lenawee, Monroe, Livingston, Washtenaw, or St. Clair counties at the time of high school graduation; must be fatherless either through death or through termination of parental rights; must be pursuing, or planning to pursue a degree in the fields of law, nursing, medicine or dentistry; must demonstrate a strong scholastic performance while in high school or college with an equivalent of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale; must demonstrate leadership and character through extra-curricular activities, school and community service, volunteer involvement and paid work experience; and must be admitted to one of the 15 non-profit public universities in Michigan. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic records; recommendations and statement of goals; and demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to candidates between the ages of 17-27 at the time of application and pursuing a full-time education. Deadline: June 3, 2013
Macomb Community College Scholarships:
Macomb Community College offers a variety of scholarships funded by private donors. Scholarships are available to assist with tuition, fees, books and other educational expenses. Scholarships are based on the academic year and are available to all Macomb Community College students who meet the criteria.
Macomb Couny Bar Association Trustee College Scholarship:
The Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustees College Scholarship is designated for a Macomb County resident attending college in Macomb County that is enrolled in a program supportive of the profession of law such as; law enforcement, criminal justice, public safety, paralegal, or legal administration. The scholarship of $2500 is to be used for tuition, fees and books and is awarded at the sole discretion of the Macomb County Bar Foundation Board of Director.
Macomb Schools & Government Credit Union Scholarships:
Each year, Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union awards nearly $70,000 in scholarships for local students. We are proud to offer a variety of scholarships to assist students on the path to their educational futures.
Macomb Township Community Foundation:
Who qualifies: Macomb Township students attending a community college or four-year university during the 2013-2014 school year. Michigan Council of Women in Technology High School Scholarship Program:
Michigan Council of Women in Technology offer a scholarship to provide educational assistance for high school girls who are currently or will be enrolled in college level courses. Applicants must be young women entering college. There is a total disbursment of up to $20,000. Applicants must check the available website for the required materials. Michigan Nurses Foundation Scholarships:
The Michigan Nurses Foundation was created in 2000 to advance nursing and nursing education by awarding scholarships and research grants and by providing financial aid for the treatment of recovering nurses. MNF is funded through private contributions and fundraising activities. A minimum of four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2013. Eligibility criteria: The applicant must be a student currently enrolled in a Michigan college/school of nursing that grants a certificate for practical nursing or an associate, baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing. The applicant must be in good academic standing with demonstrated progress toward degree completion. Deadline: July 15
Mount Clemens Rotary Scholarship - Baker College:
Available to Baker College - Clinton Township Campus students. Contact campus for criteria. Varying number of awards up to $1,500.
Young & Free Michigan - Michigan First Credit Union:
Michigan First believes in helping young people achieve their dreams. Over the past ten years we have awarded more than $730,000 in scholarships to deserving Michigan students with big dreams! This year, the Young & Free Michigan Scholarship program will award up to $85,000 in scholarships! High school seniors and current college student ages 17 to 25 are eligible to apply.
