Resident Card

People who live, work or own property in Clinton or Macomb Townships will be issued a residents borrower's card upon application without fee. Appropriate identification will be required at the time of registration. The library supports the ALA Freedom to Read statement and does not have the right to limit juvenile access in place of the parents or guardians.

Resident Courtesy Card
Persons whose primary residence is not Clinton or Macomb Township, but who own property in Clinton Township (except the portion in the Mount Clemens School District) or Macomb Township will be issued a courtesy library card upon proof of property ownership.

Alternatively, persons who work, but do not reside in Clinton or Macomb Townships will be issued a courtesy library card upon proof of employment in the service area and proof of home address.

Nonresident Card
Individuals residing in the Suburban Library Cooperative service area who are not residents of Clinton or Macomb Townships are eligible to use their home library card and be issued a guest account with CMPL. Nonresident cardholders have the same borrowing privileges as any other CMPL cardholder, but they are restricted from some services like Priority Holds and In the Queue, and they may have restricted access to some subscription databases purchased for Clinton and Macomb Township residents.

Michicard
Clinton-Macomb Public Library is a participant in the MichiCard Program.  Customers may borrow from participating libraries throughout the State of Michigan according to established reciprocal agreements with these institutions.  Circulation is limited to print materials only. A Michicard sticker must be affixed to the back of your library card by your home library in order to check out materials at CMPL.

Purchased Card
Persons who are not eligible for a resident or SLC guest card can purchase a CMPL-only library card for $100 or an SLC-wide card for $200.  This library card account can be used by any member of a family and allows full checkout privileges.  The card is valid for one year, and must be re-purchased annually.

Purchased Visitor Card
Persons who are not eligible for a resident or SLC guest card can purchase a visitor card for a one-time fee of $2.  This card allows for internet access privileges only at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library's three locations.  There are no circulation privileges with this card.
