Summer Reading Logo
Learn about waves, draw fantastical sea creatures, dance the Swim and Make a Splash - READ! when you join the library’s summer reading program! Reading charts will be available beginning June 1 in the library. All reading and listening time must be reported to the library by August 7. Children who finish the 15 hours or 60 books will be entered at each Branch in a drawing for a grand prize. And one lucky child from our service area will win a Nintendo DSi! Winners will be announced at our final programs on August 10 and 12.

What's Mr. Octopus Reading?
Our octopus will be reading different books at each location. Find him and write down the names of the books he is reading and you could win a prize! Pick up your form at any reference desk to play the summer scavenger hunt.









Reading Wrap Up Programs
It is hard to believe the Summer Reading Club is alsmost over. Get ready for a big celebration for all summer reading participants in August! OnTuesday, August 10 at 3 p.m. the Main Library will celebrate summer reading with the Zippity2Dads. No registration is required.

On Thursday, August 12 the branches will welcome Jasen Magic. He will visit the North Branch at 10:30 a.m. and the South Branch at 2 p.m. Visit the What's Happening page to register.


Kona Ice Visits Main!
The Kona Ice truck will make special weekly visits to the Main Library during summer reading. Kona Ice lets you pick and pump your own mix of flavors onto your sno-cone. They also sell ice cream. A portion of proceeds from these visits will come back to the library. Visits us on the following dates and times and enjoy a summer treat:
