Story time Guidelines
  • We want story time to be an enjoyable and enriching experience for your child. We can do this with your help by following these guidelines.

  • Before you come, prepare your child by telling him or her what activities to expect. Explain that you will listen to stories and participate in activities together.

  • Please be on time. Come a few minutes early to allow time to remove coats and stop at the restroom.

  • Consider this a sharing time for you and your little one. Participate along with your child, they learn by watching you. Don’t be afraid to look silly, they love it and it encourages them to participate as well!

  • If your child’s behavior is affecting the enjoyment of the stories, please feel comfortable to step out of the room briefly and return when your child is ready.

  • Please put your cell phone on vibrate while in the program.

  • Continue the experience at home. Story time is designed to encourage reading readiness. We encourage you to check out library materials and share the stories and activities at home.
