The purpose of this Web site is to provide supplemental resources to those provided at the Public Library Association's Spring Symposium 2001, held March 1-3, in Chicago. The goal is to encourage public libraries of all sizes to make available unique local resources on the Internet. The focus will be on local history collections, but could apply to other cultural preservation efforts. An emphasis will be placed on "doing things right the first time" regardless of the size of the project.
