Geochron ClockThe North Branch is home to the Geochron clock, which indicates where the sun is shining at any given moment. The left edge of the clock's pattern marks the moment of sunrise, while the right marks sunset. This sunrise and sunset pattern changes continually, as the seasons progress throughout the year. The clock was a gift from the Friends of the Clinton-Macomb Public Library.

Clinton-Macomb Public Library greatly appreciates all book donations and financial contributions given to it.  Learn about the different ways you can give.

Donate Materials Year Round
The library happily accepts book and media donations with the exception of magazines.  Items are reviewed for possible addition to the collection. Materials not added are given to the Friends of the Library for their used book sale.  The library accepts donations during regular business hours. Tax donation receipts are available upon request.  Please call (586) 226-5007 with any additional questions.
Monetary Donations
Individuals and corporate sponsorships, legacy funds and named gifts are all an important resource for the library. Some people prefer to make a financial contribution, which is also welcome. Monetary donations in the form of cash or check are accepted at all library locations.

Past monetary donations have gone to specific items to enhance the beauty and artistry of the library. Some examples of donated art include the mural, globe, First Amendment Wall, fieldstone fireplace, puppet theatre, Pewabic tile fountain and various bronze statues found at the Main Library. These donations are denoted by a plaque with the donor’s name. A monetary contribution, will bequest or endowment is a wonderful way to give back to the community for many years.

Bookplates or Magazine Sponsorships
The library accepts donations to purchase books for the library as a memorial or gift. Library staff choose books that reflect the interests of the honored person and a bookplate with that person's name is added to the book. An acknowledgment of this gift is sent to the donor.

Brick Pavers
This lasting gift will help beautify the Main Library.  Brick pavers are installed once a year.  Orders are collected throughout the year.  However, orders must be received by June 1 in order to be installed in the same fiscal year. You can choose up to three lines for personalization. The bricks are laid into the patio over the summer and there is a dedication ceremony where you will receive a photo of your brick. The cost is $100.00. If you already have a paver installed and you’d like your new paver to be placed next to it, please indicate that information in the notes field of the form.  Please also note the message on the existing paver so we may find it more easily during the installation process.  Every effort will be made to accommodate your request.
