The Pewabic Tile water fountain is a unique feature just outside the children's room. The beacon of knowledge pattern was designed by David McGee, an artist at Pewabic Pottery. All the tiles in the fountain were made at Pewabic Pottery in Detroit. It took McGee 16 weeks to crafts the 12' by 6' drinking fountain. The fountain was a gift from Mount Clemens Rotary Foundation.
